Walkthrough

From signed contract to sent change order

Five steps, all of them passive after setup. Here's exactly what happens between a client's email landing and you getting paid for the extra work.

01

Upload your contract

Drop in the signed contract, statement of work, or proposal for a client — PDF, Word, or plain text works. MarginFlow parses deliverables, revision limits, timelines, and anything explicitly excluded, and turns it into a scope definition it can check requests against automatically.

Takes under a minute per client. No manual tagging or templating required.

02

Connect Gmail — read-only

Grant MarginFlow read-only access to the inbox where client conversations happen. It never sends, drafts without you asking, or replies on your behalf — it only reads what's already there, and access can be revoked anytime from Settings.

Works with the inbox you already use. Nothing to migrate, no new tool for your team to check.

03

Every request gets checked against scope

As client emails arrive, MarginFlow compares each one against the parsed contract for that client — deliverables, limits, and timeline. Most requests are in scope and get left alone. The ones that aren't get flagged.

Runs continuously in the background. No inbox zero required.

04

Get an alert with the evidence attached

When a request looks out of scope, you get a notification that shows the exact email and the exact contract clause it conflicts with — side by side. You see why it was flagged before you decide what to do about it.

No more digging back through a 40-message thread to find the original scope line.

05

Send a change order, not an awkward email

MarginFlow drafts a change-order email referencing the original scope and a suggested price for the extra work. You review, edit, and send it from your own inbox — the conversation stays yours, just backed by evidence instead of a gut feeling.

Every flagged request and its outcome is logged, so the next conversation is even easier.
